Silent Odyssey
Hi, I am Raja Harish, an engineering graduate some ages ago and now a part-time blogger. After pondering for a very long time, I created this blog to share my thoughts, so that I could relax my brain which keeps itself busy on many things. 'Silent Odyssey' is a blog where you find more about my routine, random musings.
When I started googling more about the types of blogs and what to write in them, I felt happy that there are some personal blogs which are highly followed. I like to write about the thoughts that flow through my mind, just like a cricket batsman who offers shots as per the balls delivered to him. This is where I find solace.
Some of the stuff may turn out to be silly or idiosyncratic. But that's how life goes on. That stupid stuff may decide what we are as a person. It is just the beginning. I think more of this as a learning curve where I can hone my skills. Feel free to hit me with your feedback or suggestions.
WHO IS THIS LAD?
Born and raised in a town that has no connections with history textbooks, I had a normal childhood (so far as I could remember): get up—have breakfast—take your bicycle—go to school—(fill it with what you wish)—play—come back home—have some fun—good night. After ten years of this modus operandi, in an unprecedented turn of events, I ended up landing in a wonderful institution situated 172 kilometers from my ahistorical town (yes, Google Maps are really handy).
Fast forward 6 years (in the VLC media player) and I became an alumnus to that center of learning. After taking 70 courses—142 exams (OMG!)—16 labs—an internship—a project, watching infinite movies (Yeah!), playing some good hours of gully cricket, making some tumbdies as my friends, earning a name called CR, and finally marrying a black body called ‘Acer’ (yes, that too without speaking hours and hours on the mobile; ‘she’ is really gorgeous and we are not yet divorced, no plans of divorce in the near future), I was awarded a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (Wow!).
Taking a right turn (not u-turn), I have appeared for CSE (that's how Civil Services Exam is being called) consecutively for four years and I was kicked out at the gate each time (Scorecard: CSE 4-0 Me). Now I am pursuing it for the fifth time.
Apart from this, I like wasting my time in many things I love to do: I love to read, I love to write, I love to know more and more about history; I love to sleep, I love waking up with Sun and taking a stroll; I love savoring my mom’s delicious dishes, I love to cook; I love making crafts out of waste, I love listening to music (not in headphones), I love taking part in parties and ceremonies (not western); I love playing with kids, I love to spend some hours in our garden; I love to witness Federer’s flawless slice, I love to rejoice Tendulkar’s effortless drives and strokes, I love watching Anderson bowling a fluent swinging ball that kisses the timber, and I love shaking my head when MJ sings and performs. I love to pen down my thoughts on paper and this prompted me to put them in the form of a blog. And this is the reason you are here.
Congrats Harish, finally you made it(blog).
